Hit-And-Run Crash Downs Pole In Gloucester Township: Police
Police are investigating an overnight incident that snapped a pole in half and brought down some wires.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A hit-and-run crash that broke a utility pole and brought down wires in Gloucester Township is under investigation, police said.
The collision occurred at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on West Church Street in Blackwood, according to law enforcement. As of 9 a.m., the roadway is closed between Black Horse Pike and Barnsboro Road.
Police shared photos of the broken pole resting on low-hanging wires above the street.

PSE&G replaced the pole and wires, police said. The township doesn't have any power outages as of this writing, according to the utility company.
