House Fire Displaces Gloucester Township Family: Police
The residents were able to quickly escape the fire at the house in the Blackwood section of the township Sunday afternoon.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A family has been displaced after their home caught fire in the Blackwood section of the township on Sunday, according to Gloucester Township police.
The residents were able to escape quickly when their home on the 1000 block of Davistown Road caught fire at about 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, the Gloucester Township Police Department said.
Firefighters from Blackwood (Station #84) were able to bring the fire under control quickly, with the assistance of firefighters from Chews Landing (Station #82), Erial (Station #86), Glendora (Station #81), Deptford (Station #93), Runnemede (Station #75) and Pine Hill (Station #62).

No one was injured. Police believe the fire was accidental, and the cause remains under investigation.
“This incident is a good reminder to check the batteries in your smoke detectors and ensure that are working properly in the event they are ever needed,” police said.
