Impaired Driver Hits Multiple Cars, Eludes Cops In Gloucester Township: Police
The driver's vehicle eventually stopped after multiple collisions, authorities said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — As Gloucester Township police remind the public to "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over," one driver made efforts toward neither last week, authorities said.
During a man's impaired travels on Thursday evening, Ronald Rosen hit multiple vehicles and refused officers' orders to pull over, according to police.
Township police received word at about 7:10 p.m. of a potentially intoxicated driver. One caller reported a driver operating a small, red SUV with heavy front-end damage, while another told police that the driver struck a vehicle on Bethany Lane. As officers were dispatched, officials received additional calls about the erratic driving, police said.

Officers found the SUV near the Black Horse Pike and Lower Landing Road and tried to pull over the driver with lights and sirens — later identified as Rosen, of Philadelphia — police said. The man refused to stop and continued driving 10-15 mph when his SUV struck an oncoming vehicle on the Black Horse Pike, according to law enforcement.
Rosen again refused to stop and traveled up Somerdale Road and into the Broadmoor neighborhood, police said. The vehicle eventually "came to a stop" on Orchard Avenue, where officers say they safely removed the driver from the SUV.

The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to police. Officials took him to the hospital for treatment. No one else sustained injuries from the incident.
Rosen was charged with eluding (second-degree) and DWI. The incident remains under investigation, and police said additional charges may be forthcoming.
