Impaired Driver Killed Woman, Injured 6 Others In Camden Co. Crash: Officials

The man fled the scene and came back shortly after, authorities said.

GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ — An intoxicated driver got into a crash last month that killed a woman and injured six others in Gloucester City, authorities said Thursday.

William St. John, 27, of Mount Ephraim, crashed into another vehicle at about 2:10 a.m. Dec. 29, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO). Seven people were taken to the hospital.

After striking the victim's vehicle on Crescent Boulevard and Klemm Avenue, St. John fled the scene and returned shortly after, authorities said.

He was arrested for driving under the influence and has since been charged with second-degree death by auto.

One of the crash victims — Melina Dubosse, 62, of Philadelphia — was pronounced dead on Jan. 2 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
