Injured Goat Found In Camden County, Police Seek Answers

Surveillance footage showed a speeding vehicle that may have been transporting farm animals, authorities said.

WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Police are seeking answers regarding an injured goat found in Camden County.

Waterford Township police responded Aug. 19 to Raritan Avenue for a report of the injured animal. Witnesses told law enforcement that they believed the goat came from a pickup truck traveling toward the township.

Video surveillance showed a gray, older-style Ford pickup traveling "at a high rate of speed" with what appears to be a chain dragging behind it, police said. Police shared two photos from the footage on Monday (see above).

"It appears that this person may have been transporting farm animals," the police agency said.
