Intoxicated Boater From Camden Co. Caused Deadly Crash: Authorities
He crashed into an Intracoastal Waterway marker, killing a passenger and injuries several others, prosecutors said.
GALLOWAY, NJ — A Camden County man accused of causing a deadly boating crash while intoxicated was indicted Wednesday in Atlantic County.
Jason Santo, 42, of Atco, was charged by indictment with second-degree vehicular homicide.
In August 2023, Santo crashed a boat into an Intracoastal Waterway marker in Galloway's Great Bay Inlet, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. One of the passengers — Mark Risden, 44, of Tabernacle — was killed.

Santo and three other passengers were also injured, authorities said.
Investigators found that Santo was intoxicated during the crash.
