A grant from the Investors Bank Foundation for $1,000 will support Jaws Youth Playbook, the foundation of former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and NFL analyst Ron Jaworski, in its annual bike drive for at-risk youth and the construction of a playground in Whitman Park in Camden, NJ. Jaws Youth Playbook applied for the grant from the Investors Bank Foundation, which supports non-profit organizations that enrich the diverse communities served by Investors Bank.

Investors Bank’s Courtney Bongard, assistant vice president and Sewell branch manager, presented the grant check to Jaws Youth Playbook. “Jaws Youth Playbook does so much for our local communities,” said Bongard. “Investors is proud to be able to partner in your efforts to improve the lives of at-risk children throughout the greater Philadelphia area. Investors recognizes the extreme importance of aiding in the health and wellness of the next generation and we hope this grant will provide more children with the opportunity to enjoy healthy exercise and play.”

Upon accepting the grant check, Jaws Youth Playbook executive director Trish Cuadrado said, “Without Corporate Sponsors like Investors Bank, Jaws Youth Playbook is not able to build playgrounds and ball-fields in the Greater Philadelphia area. Investors Bank is giving thousands of at-risk youth the opportunity to have safe places to play.”

Cuadrado said the Jaws Youth Playbook’s annual bike drive is hoping to raise enough funds to purchase 300 bicycles for children in the Vineland, New Jersey area. On December 6, at the Cumberland Cape Atlantic YMCA in Vineland, more than 100 staff and volunteers will assemble the bikes and distribute them over the holidays.

One of the important programming pillars of the Jaws Youth Playbook is to provide access to play and physical play spaces for at-risk children. Part of the grant provided by the Investors Bank Foundation will assist Jaws Youth Playbook in building a new playground in Whitman Park in Camden, New Jersey.
