Is Employer Based Health Care Becoming a perk of the past?

Just some statistics on employer based health care in the last 10 Years. The percentage of health care paid for by the employer has decreased 20 % in the last 12 Years. Currently employer paid  health care constitutes about 57 % of the total number of eligible employees. This is down from 69 % in 2000. Employer paid benefits has seen a decline in the last couple of years and with the new ACA law this long standing policy for employees might be coming to and end. There have been so many changes in health care in the last couple of years as policy makers are trying to find the best solution to improve delivery, quality and access to health benefits. There is also a trend by carriers to have narrow network providers that comes with lower costs but access to all health care providers is  limited.
