K9 Dog's Death Investigated In South Jersey

WOODBURY, NJ — A K9 dog's death is under investigation in South Jersey, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office told Patch.

Ember, a Gloucester County Fire Marshal's fox red labrador, died on Aug. 12, the official said.

Thomas Gilbert, Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson would neither say how the dog died nor what the investigation has shown to date.

"It is an ongoing investigation, so we won't be disclosing any details," he said. "We are definitely conducting an investigation into the matter."
