Here are the latest local updates on how the coronavirus outbreak is impacting Gloucester Township.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The new coronavirus outbreak in New Jersey and across the nation is having vast impacts in Gloucester Township, including the closure of schools and many businesses.

The number of fatalities in Gloucester Township related to the coronavirus has now reached five. A Gloucester Township woman in her 60s, two men in their 60s, a man in his 30s and a man in his 50s have all died after testing positive for the coronavirus.

As of Wednesday, the total number of cases in Camden County was 876, with 23 fatalities. Statewide, there have been 47,437 and 1,504 deaths related to the coronavirus.

BLACKWOOD RESIDENTS WAIT A LITTLE LONGER FOR WEDDING

Gloucester Township police reminded residents not to get together after breaking up a house party on Saturday.Those gathered were playing cards. Police said future violations will not be tolerated.

WOMAN DELIVERS BABY IN BATHTUB

Erin Persia, of Blackwood, delivered her baby in a bathtub in her home after a misunderstanding about whether her husband would be permitted in the delivery room with her due to coronavirus-related restrictions.
