Latest Gloucester Township Coronavirus Updates

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The new coronavirus outbreak in New Jersey and across the nation is having vast impacts in Gloucester Township, including the closure of schools and many businesses.

The number of fatalities in Gloucester Township related to the coronavirus has now reached six. A Gloucester Township man in his 80s, a woman in her 60s, two men in their 60s, a man in his 30s and a man in his 50s have all died after testing positive for the coronavirus.

As of Monday, the total number of cases in Camden County was 1,255, with 29 fatalities.

BUSINESS

SCHOOLS

All schools in New Jersey remain closed in response to the new coronavirus outbreak, state officials said. MORE.

The Gloucester Township K-8 Public School District is on spring break Monday and Tuesday, while spring break in the Black Horse Pike Regional School District runs through April 17.

The K-8 Board of Education next meets April 27, and the high school Board of Education meets May 7.

MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT

All municipal buildings are closed until further notice. Council was scheduled to hold its second remote meeting Monday night.
