Latest Gloucester Township Coronavirus Updates
There are now 764 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Gloucester Township with 41 confirmed deaths.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — As of Tuesday, there are 764 Gloucester Township residents who have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to numbers posted online by Camden County officials. Forty-one Gloucester Township residents have died after testing positive for the coronavirus.
On Tuesday, county officials announced that three women in their 20s were among the 27 new Camden County residents tested positive for the coronavirus. Officials don’t specify which areas of the township cases are identified, and they don’t identify specifics about deaths beyond gender and age.
The state keeps track of cases identified in nursing homes. As of Monday, 157 residents at the Elmwood Hills Health Center had tested positive for the coronavirus, and 30 residents had died. There were 40 cases identified among staff members, with no confirmed deaths.

“Our country continues to see increased cases and hospitalizations as the coronavirus continues to devastate communities from coast to coast,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “If you travel to a state with an ongoing outbreak it is imperative that you quarantine when you return home. Wearing masks and social distancing stops the spread of COVID-19, but only if we reduce our mobility and the risk that the virus is brought back to our region. Camden County residents have done an incredible job combating this pandemic, but our fight is a long way from over.”

There are now 7,981 confirmed coronavirus cases in Camden County with 479 confirmed fatalities. No new deaths were reported on Tuesday.
According to the Camden County Department of Health, there are 1,319 confirmed cases among residents at the county's long-term care facilities, with 302 deaths. Another 492 cases were reported among staff members, with three deaths.
