Lindenwold Woman Makes Fake 911 Call To Avoid Traffic Stop: Police

The woman was lying when she said there was a shooting in progress at the Millbridge Gardens Apartment Complex, police said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP – A Lindenwold woman faces charges after she allegedly called 911 to avoid the ramifications of a traffic stop on Monday, the Gloucester Township Police Department said on its Facebook page.

Katelynne Hunter-Fisher, 35, faces charges of filing a false police report and obstruction of justice after the incident, according to police.

It was unclear Thursday morning if she was in jail.

As police processed Hunter-Fisher for a traffic stop in Gloucester Township, the Gloucester Township Communications Center got a call about a shooting in progress at the Millbridge Garden Apartment Complex, police said.

An investigation revealed no shooting had occurred at the complex and that Hunter-Fisher called in the false report to try and distract the officer from completing the processes involved with her motor vehicle stop, according to police.
