Magic Up Our Sleeve Musical Revue Celebrates Magic of Theater

Mainstage Center for the Arts Magic Up Our Sleeve musical revue features medleys from Disney, Broadway, fairytales, and more.

Mainstage Center for the Arts will treat audiences to a celebration of magical moments from Summer Stage Children’s Theatre in Magic Up Our Sleeve. This musical revue takes place August 1st – 3rd. It brings the three casts from Summer Stage’s 2018 Children’s Theatre shows together into one spectacular production. Magic Up Our Sleeve features medleys from Disney, Broadway, fairytales, and more. The entire company of 200 performers will take the stage to performing Willy Wonka and Peter Pan medleys.

“This show is appropriately named for what happens here at Mainstage Center for the arts. I truly believe that it’s magic when we transform and empty set into Cinderella’s castle or when a student really gets into his role and becomes that character, or when you watch a small, smiling child run up to a costumed cast member to ask for an autograph. These moments are pure magic and exemplify the Magic Up Our Sleeve,” said Anne Marie Weaver Mainstage’s special projects director.

The production is sponsored by Ace Screen Printing, Two Two Creative, and GLS Painters. Performances run Wednesday, August 1st and Thursday, August 2nd, 7:30 p.m.; and Friday, August 3rd, 10:30 a.m. in the newly-renovated fully-accessible Dennis Flyer Theatre, Lincoln Hall, Camden County College, 200 College Drive, Blackwood, NJ..Ticket prices are $11 for children/senior citizens and $12 for adults. To purchase tickets visit www.mainstage.org or call (856) 227-3091.
