Man Charged in Easter Day Caper at Gloucester Township Dunkin Donuts

Daniel Torella allegedly robbed the College Drive restaurant Sunday night.

Gloucester Township, NJ -- A Sicklerville man has been charged in an Easter Day heist at the Dunkin Donuts on College Drive.

Daniel Torella, 19, was charged with robbery after he allegedly robbed the restaurant around 10:06 p.m. Sunday night.

Torella allegedly entered the Dunkin Donuts and demanded money from the register while keeping his hand under his sweatshirt and threatening that he had a weapon, police said Tuesday afternoon. He then allegedly grabbed cash from the register and fled toward Erial Road.

No employees were injured during the robbery.

An investigation by the police department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau identified Torella as a suspect. Torella was interviewed at police headquarters and subsequently charged.

He was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility in default of $100,000 full cash bail.
