Man Charged With Murder After Shooting In Gloucester Township: Prosecutor

The U.S. Marshals Service found the suspect in Philadelphia, weeks after the Feb. 22 incident, according to law enforcement.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Philadelphia man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting last month in Gloucester Township, authorities said.

Kacy Banks, of Philadelphia, faces several charges, including murder and robbery, for the Feb. 22 killing of Tarik Green, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. The U.S. Marshals Service's Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Banks in Philadelphia.

Gloucester Township police received a 911 call just after 3 a.m. Feb. 22 stating that someone had been shot at the 800 block of North Black Horse Pike. Officials found Green at the scene and took him to Jefferson Stratford Hospital, where the 28-year-old Millville resident was pronounced dead at 4:43 a.m.

Following an investigation from local police and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, Banks was charged with murder (first-degree), robbery (second-degree) and unlawful possession of a weapon (second-degree).

Banks, 26, remains in the Philadelphia Jail's custody, pending extradition to New Jersey.
