Man Critical After Being Hit By Car In Gloucester Twp: Police

A man was hit while walking on the Black Horse Pike Monday afternoon, police said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man is in critical condition after being hit by a car while walking on the Black Horse Pike Monday afternoon, Gloucester Township police announced.

He was struck in the area of Oak Avenue at about 3:42 p.m. Monday, police said. He was taken to Jefferson Hospital in Stratford, where he was reported to be in critical condition, police said.

The driver remained on the scene. Neither the driver nor the victim were identified by police on Monday.

No charges had been filed as of Monday afternoon, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
