Man Killed After 2 Motorcycles Crash In Camden Co.: Police

Both motorcycles left the roadway around the same place, but it's unclear whether the accidents happened on or off the street.

LINDENWOLD, NJ — A man was killed after he and another motorcyclist crashed in Lindenwold, authorities said.

Police responded to the incident at 6:36 p.m. on New Freedom Road. One of the motorcyclists — Thomas Lista, 28, of Stratford — was found about 50 feet off the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene.

The other motorcyclist was injured.

At the scene, the injured motorcyclist said his vehicle left the roadway. He advised police that another rider — later identified as Lista — left the roadway on a separate motorcycle around the same time.

Investigators found that both riders were traveling north on New Freedom Road and left the roadway around the 100 block.

Police did not say what may have caused them to crash, and it wasn't immediately clear whether the accidents originated on or off the road.

Lindenwold police continue to investigate, with assistance from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
