Man Killed In Crash After Running Stop Sign In South Jersey: Police

An oncoming vehicle struck their car in the intersection, authorities said.

UPPER PITTSGROVE, NJ — A man was killed in a crash after he ran a stop sign Sunday in Salem County, authorities said.

Luis Salcedo, 69, of Glassboro, sustained fatal injuries from the crash at 12:32 p.m. in Upper Pittsgrove, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a State Police spokesperson.

Salcedo was driving north on Three Bridge Road when he ran a stop sign at the intersection with Route 611, Lebron said. A GMC Sierra, which was traveling west on Route 611, struck Salcedo's vehicle in the intersection, according to the preliminary investigation.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
