Man Missing 1 Year After Leaving South Jersey Hospital In A Gown: Police

Kevin Collins Jr. was last seen leaving a hospital. Surveillance footage showed him walking unclothed in the woods nearby.

MANNINGTON, NJ — A South Jersey man who disappeared after leaving a medical facility in a hospital gown remains missing one year later.

Kevin Collins Jr. left Inspira Medical Center Mannington in Salem County around 4:15 p.m. on Feb. 27, 2025. He was last seen wearing a hospital gown, which was later discovered near the hospital, according to State Police.

Just before 5 p.m. that day, surveillance footage showed Collins walking unclothed in a wooded area near the hospital in Mannington Township.

Friday marked one year since Collins vanished, just days after his mother, Tinisha Hall, honored his 22nd birthday.

"Birthdays are meant to be celebrated with you…not for you, not without you," Hall wrote Feb. 17 on social media. "But still, you are 22. Somewhere in this world, you are 22."

Authorities described Collins, of Bridgeton, as a Black man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 115 pounds.

On the one-year anniversary of Collins's disappearance, State Police renewed their request for information that could help them find him.

"Over the past year, detectives have carried out extensive search operations and conducted ongoing follow-up efforts in an attempt to determine Kevin's whereabouts," the law-enforcement agency said.
