Man Wanted For Eluding NJ Cops Tries To Elude Them Again: Officials
The first set of charges against the man was filed by the Gloucester City Police Department, authorities said.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Berlin man wanted for eluding the Gloucester City Police Department was arrested on Tuesday by the Gloucester Township Police Department for a different incident that led to the same charge, authorities said.
A Gloucester Township police officer tried to pull over 24-year-old Jordan J. Herrin for speeding along College Drive on Tuesday shortly before 7 p.m., according to authorities.
Herring momentarily slowed down, sped up, refused to stop and nearly caused a collision between two other vehicles, one of which was a Gloucester Township Police Department vehicle, authorities said.

Herring slowed down again, jumped out of the vehicle he was driving and fled, which caused a collision between the vehicle he was driving and a parked vehicle, according to authorities.
Herring was captured, arrested and charged with third-degree eluding, fourth-degree resisting arrest and issued multiple motor vehicle summonses, authorities said.

Police discovered during their investigation Herring was wanted by the Gloucester City Police Department on an eluding police charge, according to authorities.
Consequently, Herring was processed and turned over to Gloucester City Police Department to be processed on their outstanding warrant, according to authorities.
No one was hurt during the Gloucester Township incident, authorities said.
