Manhunt After Fatal Shooting Near Gloucester Township Apartments

Police were still searching for the gunman on Thursday.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Lindenwold man was fatally shot in the Clementon section of the township Wednesday night, authorities announced. Police were still searching for the gunman as of Thursday morning, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester Township Police Chief Harry Earle.

Gloucester Township police found 21-year-old William Henry Jr., of Lindenwold, laying on the ground near the 400 block of the La Cascata apartments at about 10:38 p.m. on Sept. 19. He had been shot several times. He was taken to Jefferson Hospital in Stratford and pronounced dead at about 11:46 p.m. Police found him while responding to 911 calls about the shooting.
