GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The long Memorial Day weekend is fast approaching. The holiday, created 151 years ago by former Union general John Alexander Logan, is dedicated to remembering soldiers who gave their lives to defend and serve their country. It’s celebrated with parade floats, sparklers, pool parties, cookouts, loud music and other festivities.
