Motorcyclist Killed In Gloucester Township Crash: Police

A motorcyclist was killed when their motorcycle went off the road into a brush area early Wednesday morning.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle accident in Gloucester Township overnight, police said.

Police responded to the area of Hickstown Road west of Erial Road for a person lying off the roadway next to a motorcycle at about 1:36 a.m. Wednesday morning, police said.

Arriving officers and medics found the person off the road with no pulse and suffering from unknown injuries, police said. Attempts to resuscitate the motorcyclist were unsuccessful. The motorcyclist, who has not been identified by police, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Police believe the motorcyclist went off the road into an area of brush and was ejected. Hickstown Road was closed for approximately two and a half hours during the initial stages of the investigation.
