Navy Contractor Faces Child Porn Charges: Prosecutor

A Navy contractor with top secret clearance has been arrested and charged with distribution of child pornography, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Acting Barrington Police Chief Dave Uron announced on Monday. Donald Baldi, 41, of Barrington, was charged with second-degree distribution of child pornography and third-degree possession of child pornography.

He was arrested on Friday, Dec. 1 after detectives from the High-Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU) of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office executed a search warrant at his home, police said. He was charged following an onsite preview of digital media devices that were seized during the search. Those devices were sent to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office’s HTCU Forensic lab to be analyzed.

Baldi was taken to the Runnemede Police Department and processed, then transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing. He was then released with conditions under recent Criminal Justice Reform rules.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office HTCU detectives were assisted on this case by members of Homeland Security Investigations – Cherry Hill Division, the Gloucester City Police Department, the Barrington Police Department and the Tactical Team consisting of officers from Brooklawn, Mount Ephraim, Runnemede, Bellmawr, Barrington, Audubon, and Magnolia townships.
