CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — The number of new cases of the coronavirus reported in Camden County dropped back below 20 on Tuesday. The Camden County Department of Health announced 15 additional cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday. No new deaths were reported, and trace investigations are underway in all new cases.

Fewer than 20 cases were reported on three separate days last week, when 19 cases were reported on June 16, followed by 14 on the 17th and 19 again on the 18th. For the next four days, though, more than 20 cases were reported each day before the number dropped again on Tuesday.

“The incredible progress we have seen throughout the month of June has only been possible because of residents throughout Camden County who have continued to take this threat seriously, and who have worked to protect others as much as themselves,” Camden County Freeholder Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “Today we are averaging a quarter of the new cases each day that we were just five weeks ago. We have shown that you can beat this virus back if you take the necessary precautions and follow the guidelines of health experts. If we continue to wear masks and ease back into our normal routines, we will save lives and prevent transmission of this disease from becoming widespread once again.”
