New Martial Arts School Opens In Gloucester Township

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A new martial arts school is now open in Gloucester Township.
We Are Legends Martial Arts and Fitness opened in Chews Landing Plaza at 14 Somerdale Road in the Blackwood section of the township on Monday, July 2.
The school offers martial arts for kids, adult fitness kickboxing, and teen and adult Muay Thai, which is a martial art from Thailand that emphasizes striking techniques and core conditioning.

“We are incredibly excited to open our new facility and to train both kids and adults in martial arts,” co-owner and Sensei Gary Brascetta said. “To me, martial arts is a way of life, teaching discipline, focus and achievement. I can’t wait to share my passion with our students.”
Brascetta has been teaching martial arts for over 12 years and has been practicing since he was 4 years old. He holds first-degree black belts in Taekwondo and Kenpo, a second-degree black belt in Kickboxing and an advanced level, black prajioud (armband) in Muay Thai. Brascetta is a Sicklerville resident and graduated from Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees.

The summer schedule includes morning, evening and Saturday classes for all ages and ability levels. Children as young as 3 years of age can enroll in the kids’ program.
