NJ Aid For Animals To Hold "Just in Time" Gala
Proceeds benefit the Sweet Pea Fund for Abused Animals
NJ Aid for Animals (NJAFA), a statewide animal advocacy nonprofit, is holding the “Just in Time” Gala to benefit the Sweet Pea Fund for Abused Animals, on Saturday, May 21 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Laurel Creek Country Club located at 701 Centerton Road in Mount Laurel. This elegant, semi-formal event will feature appetizers, dinner, dessert and a performance by singer Pete Cannella, whose impression of Frank Sinatra is a tribute in sound and style.
“We’re thrilled to hold the Just in Time Gala to raise much-needed funds for costly medical treatment for abused animals in our area. Unfortunately, animal abuse still persists,” said Kathy McGuire, president, NJAFA. “By supporting the Gala, you’ll help save the lives of abused animals in South Jersey.”
Chris Torre, DVM, co-owner of Mount Laurel Animal Hospital, added “I knew what ‘Just in Time’ meant when NJ Aid for Animals brought Sweet Pea, a “bait dog” survivor, to our facility last year. Abused by dog fighting criminals, Sweet Pea recuperated after extensive medical treatments and inspired this medical fund to help other abused animals.”
