There are currently about 55 million people that have some form of Diabetes and are taking medication for treatment. The cost of the treatment drugs have grown over 16% in the last year according to a pharmaceutical study. Good news is more and more emphasis is currently under way for preventive treatment and to make sure the patient is properly taking their medication. The main forces are joining together in this proactive approach to this disease.The doctors and the insurance companies are looking at ways to cut the costs in the delivery system along with the drug manufacturers to slow the growth of this disease. They are looking at preventive measures to work in unison with the patients to control the onset of this disease.
