Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By SUV In Vineland: Police

Police say the Atlantic County man was walking in the road when an SUV driver hit him shortly before midnight Monday.

VINELAND, NJ — A man died Monday night after an SUV driver hit him when he was walking in the road, Vineland Police said.

Police said Atlantic County resident Michael Gendusa was in the lane of travel when a Honda Pilot driver going northbound on South Delsea Drive hit him at around 11:35 p.m. Monday. Gendusa, 54, of Ancora died at the scene.

No charges have been filed against the driver, a Vineland woman, police said. The crash happened near the intersection of South Delsea Drive and College Drive.
