Play Ball! Glendora Little League Season-Opening Parade is This Weekend

How will the parade impact traffic?

Gloucester Township, NJ -- It’s finally going to be a nice weekend for baseball.

With the forecast from the National Weather Service calling for a high of 70 and just a 20 percent chance of precipitation, the Glendora Little League will attempt to celebrate the opening of its season this weekend.

The season-opening parade is set for Saturday morning, 10 a.m.-11 a.m.

The parade begins at Black Horse Pike, Route 168, and Seventh Avenue and proceeds north to Evesham Road. The parade then travels onto East Evesham Road to Albert Drive, according to Gloucester Township Police.

Route 168 will be closed from Station Avenue to Evesham Road beginning at 9:50 a.m. Evesham Road will be closed between Route 168 and Hartford Drive beginning at 10 a.m. Both roadways will be reopened as soon as the parade is clear of the roadway.

The detour for Route 168 in both directions is Station Avenue to W. Evesham Road to Route 168 and vice versa.

The detour route for E. Evesham Road is Hartford Drive to Davis Road to Shubert Avenue.

Drivers should expect delays and are urged to avoid the area during the road closure times.

Glendora Little League will have hoagies and snacks for sale. There will also be “spirit wear” on sale for $1.
