Playoffs Begin For Black Horse Pike Basketball Teams Next Week
All three boys teams and the Highland girls made the playoffs.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — All three Black Horse Pike Regional School District boys basketball teams remain in contention for the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 championship, according to nj.com.
Highland earned the No. 2 overall seed and will host No. 15 Bridgeton in the first round on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 5:30 p.m.
Highland is 19-5, and wrapped up the regular season with a 66-60 win over Gloucester City on Tuesday night. Bridgeton is 6-18 heading into the tournament.

The winner of the game faces the winner of the game between No. 7 Pemberton and No. 10 Timber Creek in the quarterfinals on March 2. Pemberton hosts Timber Creek Tuesday night, 5:30 p.m.
Timber Creek is 9-14, but pushed Highland to the limit in a 95-91 loss on Feb. 4. Pemberton is 11-14 heading into the tournament.

Triton is on the same side of the bracket as its district rivals, having earned the No. 6 seed. The Mustangs host No. 11 Toms River South in the first round on Tuesday night, 5:30 p.m.
Triton is 13-8 with one regular season game left at Woodbury on Thursday night before the tournament begins. Toms River South is 5-15 heading into the tournament.
The winner of this game faces the winner of the game between No. 3 Ocean City and No. 14 Toms River East in the quarterfinals on March 2.
The tournament’s No. 1 overall seed is Central Regional.
Highland’s girls basketball team is also playoff bound. It is the No. 9 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 tournament, and will visit No. 8 Toms River East in the first round on Tuesday afternoon, 4 p.m., according to nj.com.
Highland is 9-14 with two regular season games left, at Woodbury on Thursday and at Clearview on Friday. Toms River East is 12-10.
The winner faces the winner of the game between No. 1 Ocean City and No. 16 Pinelands in the quarterfinals on March 2. The semifinals are set for March 4, and the championship game is March 7. If the seeds hold up, Ocean City would face No. 2 Mainland in the final.
