Police Investigate Early Morning Fatal Shooting in South Jersey
A Camden man was found shot just after 3 a.m.

A man was shot to death early Sunday morning in Camden, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson.
Camden County Police found Andre Matthews, 44, of Camden, lying on the sidewalk in the area of the 1400 block of Pershing Street in Camden just after 3 a.m. after they were alerted to gunfire by the ShotSpotter system.
Matthews was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 4:32 a.m.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
