Police Seek Woman In Attempted CVS Shoplifting

The store manager at the Gloucester Township store confronted the suspect before she fled the building.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Gloucester Township police are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman in an attempted shoplifting incident at the CVS store on College Drive.

The store manager told police that he was standing behind the woman while she was making a purchase and saw stolen merchandise in her pockets.

When he confronted her, she removed the items from her pockets, but then attempted to flee the store, police said. He confronted her at the front door, and was able to recover the rest of the merchandise that was in her pockets. However, she was able to flee the store before police arrived.
