Pro-Impeachment Rally In Camden Set For Tuesday

Cooper River Indivisible is organizing the rally outside U.S. Senator Cory Booker's Camden office Tuesday evening.

CAMDEN, NJ — A rally in favor of impeaching President Donald Trump will take place outside U.S. Senator Cory Booker’s Office at 2 Riverside Drive in Camden Tuesday evening.

The “Impeach and Remove Rally” is scheduled for about 5:40 p.m. Last week, two articles of impeachment against President Donald J. Trump were approved by a House panel.

The articles accuse the president of abuse of power linked to the Ukraine scandal and obstruction of Congress, alleging that Trump "has directed the unprecedented, categorical, and indiscriminate defiance of subpoenas issued by the House of Representatives pursuant to its 'sole Power of Impeachment.'"

“Donald Trump used military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections, before trying to cover it up,” BlueWave NJ said in a statement. “It's a fact that President Donald Trump used military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections and then tried to cover it up. This is U.S. tax dollar funded bribery plain and simple. We are taking to the streets to say that nobody is above the law and therefore demand that Congress and the Senate impeach and remove Trump. These mobilizations are our opportunity to show that the people won't stand for corrupt abuses of power.”
