RCGC's Unified Sports Program Recognized

Rowan College at Gloucester County has been a proud partner of Unified Sports – a Special Olympics program – for the past five years.

Members of the Rowan College at Gloucester County (RCGC) Board of Trustees recognized RCGC’s Unified Sports program during their meeting on Tuesday, Mar. 28. For the past five years, RCGC has partnered with Unified Sports – a registered program of Special Olympics – to help young people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths through sports. Games are held in the Physical Education Center on the College’s campus every Friday and Unified Sports athletes compete side-by-side with RCGC’s own athletes, students, faculty members and staff. The program is held year-round and features basketball, kickball and soccer games.
