Registration for Gloucester Township Junior Police Academy is Underway

Gloucester Township, NJ -- Registration for this year’s Gloucester Township Junior Police Academy began on Tuesday for township residents, police said.

Registration began at 8 a.m. at the Gloucester Township Recreation Center for township residents. It begins for non-residents on June 6.

The academy is for ages 10-16, and consists of physical training, lectures, presentations, hands on activities and a field trip.
The juveniles will be considered cadets and will be given a uniform to wear every day.

The Junior Cadets will learn how to march and work together as squads, and will learn the importance of being physically fit, staying drug free, teamwork and respect.

Each class will have a graduation ceremony.

The breakdown for each class, including age group, date range and price, is below:

Ages 10 - 14
Dates: July 18-22 2016
Times: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM Daily

Resident Cost: $125.00 Non-Resident Cost: $150.00

Advanced Junior Police Academy Ages 11-16
Dates: August 1-5 or August 8-12 2016

Max 25 Cadets each week
