Residential Project Coming to Former White Horse Pike Shopping Center
A $50 million mixed-use redevelopment project will place at the former Acme and Grants Shopping Center.

Local officials will announce a $50 million mixed-use redevelopment project to take place at the former Acme and Grants Shopping Center in Clementon on Wednesday.
The former shopping center is 30-acre site at 250 White Horse Pike.
Leewood Real Estate Group/NJ will develop 205 residential dwellings around greenway promenades and walking/jogging trails that will provide access to an on-site pond.

Seven acres of the site will be reserved for commercial development.
“The county is committed to assisting municipalities to identify redevelopment projects that will revitalize a community and generate new ratables,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli, Jr,. liaison to Economic Development, said. “The CCIA’s previous demolition of the 200,000 square foot dilapidated structure that had sat vacant for decades is now providing Clementon with the potential to generate over $1 million in new revenue with this project.”

Leewood Village at Rowand Pond will be constructed in phases. Phase one will feature 49 units ranging from $169,990 to $199,990.
“The redevelopment of this key parcel of land will transform the borough’s commercial district along the White Horse Pike,” Cappelli said. “The project will also revitalize the area by featuring access to Rowan Pond and the Camden County Greenway adjacent to the property.”
