1 Killed In 2-Car Crash In Gloucester Township: Police

Both cars were overturned and blocking the road on Erial Road Tuesday evening, police said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ- One person was killed in a two-car crash in which both vehicles flipped over and were blocking the road on Erial Road Tuesday night, police announced.

One person was able to escape their car under their own power in the accident, which was reported at about 6:18 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4. Responding police officers found that driver in stable condition with a minor injury, according to the Gloucester Township Police Department.

Firefighters from the Blackwood, Chews Landing and Lambs Terrace fire departments were able to help the passenger of the second vehicle out of the car. That person was treated for unknown injuries.

The driver of that car was unconscious, and had to be extricated by firefighters, with the help of Gloucester Township EMS and Virtua Paramedics. Everyone in the accident was taken to area hospitals, where the driver of the second car died as a result of the injuries.

Police didn't identify anyone involved in the accident, pending notification of their family and further investigation.
