Road Closed For Gas Main Work In Gloucester Township Thursday-Friday

South Jersey Gas crews will be out on Hickstown Road all day, so drivers are advised to use another route around the utility work.

GLOUCESTER TWP., NJ — A gas main renewal project will continue to affect traffic in Gloucester and Winslow townships on Friday, according to the county.

Hickstown Road will be closed between Erial-Clementon and Erial roads from 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday, Camden County officials said in a news release.

South Jersey Gas crews are also out Thursday, September 29, and the road is closed these same hours.

Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works, recommended that drivers choose another route and urged people to be careful.

“Motorists should consider taking an alternate route to avoid potential delays,” Dyer said in a news release. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
