Shots Fired In Gloucester Township Robbery: Police

The suspects fired multiple gunshots as they fled the scene, according to authorities.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A suspect is in custody after a robbery in the Glendora section of Gloucester Township, police said.

Police responded to the 800 block of the Black Horse Pike regarding reports of a robbery shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to authorities.

Gunshots were heard and "three suspects tried to flee from the area," authorities said.

One of the suspects was taken into custody and while the other two took off in a vehicle, according to authorities. Police pursued the vehicle until the chase "was safely terminated," authorities said.

Several people were assaulted "by the suspects during the incident" but no one was hurt by gunfire, according to authorities.

Police were not releasing any other details regarding the incident as of 9:30 a.m Wednesday.
