School Canceled After Armed Robbery At Nearby McDonald's In Camden Co.: Officials

BERLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ — An armed robbery at a McDonald's in Camden County is under investigation, prompting a district with nearby schools to cancel class on Friday.

The armed robbery happened early Friday morning at a McDonald's restaurant in Berlin Township, police said. It is located at 270 Route 73.

Berlin Township police and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office are investigating the incident. There's a heavy law-enforcement presence in the area as of late Friday morning.

No other incident information was immediately available.

The Berlin Township School District canceled class on Friday "due to police activity in the neighborhoods around our schools," the district announced.
