Section Of Trail Closed In Gloucester Township

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Gloucester Township Health and Fitness Trail in the area of the State Route 42 overpasses closed earlier this month, the Gloucester Township Police Department said.

That section of trail will remain closed until an unspecified date in 2024, so the New Jersey Department of Transportation can make "major repairs and upgrades" to the State Route 42 overpass bridges, according to authorities.

While the work goes on, "there will be no trespassing on the section of the Health and Fitness Trail between Brown Avenue in Hilltop and Woodland Avenue in Blenheim," authorities said.

Anyone who sees anyone in this area during the overpass construction project is asked to call the Gloucester Township Police Department at 856-228-4500.
