Torrential Rainfall Hits South Jersey

A Flash Flood Warning was possible on Thursday.

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning that was in effect for parts of South Jersey Thursday afternoon has expired.

Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties were under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 3:15 p.m.

Torrential rainfall took place over South Philadelphia, immediate surrounding areas in Southeast Pennsylvania and South Jersey.

This may result in flash flooding, the National Weather Service warns. Drivers are advised not to drive through flooded roadways.

As it stands, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect for all of New Jersey south of Morristown until Friday morning.
