Shave Your Head to Help Fight Childhood Cancer in Gloucester Township

Gloucester Township, NJ – More than 100 people will shave their heads to help raise money to Conquer Childhood Cancer in Gloucester Township next month.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-driven charity dedicated to raising money for childhood cancer research, will host one of its signature head-shaving events at The Palace Catering 109 North Black Horse Pike, on Sunday April 10.

Two Gloucester Township children battling cancer, Nicole Cristella, and Nico Cassabria, will be honored during this event.

Cristella’s last scans have come back clean, showing no signs of cancer.

Cassabria is battling Stage 4 neuroblastoma, and his last scans have shown the cancer has not grown, but is stable.

“He is a strong 8-year-old boy that continues to fight the fight,” members of the Blackwood Fire Company said on Friday. “However, we refuse to let him fight the fight alone. We have made Nicole and Nico honorary members of our fire department, and will continue to help them in this battle.”

There will also be a Classic Car Show the day of the event. To register for the show, visit BFCcarshow@gmail.com. Cost is $25 the day of the event. There will be a Chinese auction, and 50/50 raffles throughout the day.

Organizers are seeking vendors. Cost is $25 for the space, plus 10% of the profits. There will be music, face painting and food.

Organizers are asking for $10 donations at the door.

Over the last three years, the event has raised over $100,000.
