TURNERSVILLE, NJ — A Sicklerville woman confronted for shoplifting at Walmart faces additional charges for her attempted escape, authorities said.
Officers responded to Walmart of Turnersville at 8:46 p.m. Saturday for a reported shoplifter. The suspect — later identified as Ivory Ajamu — told a loss-prevention employee that she would "shoot him up," according to the Washington Township Police Department.
Ofc. Marc Wolfe, the first-arriving officer, found Ajamu and her vehicle in the parking lot. Wolfe stopped her vehicle in the lot and radioed that he was in a "foot pursuit," police said.
