Sonia Chugh Named Camden County Teacher Of The Year

CAMDEN CO., NJ—A LEAP Academy teacher has been named the Camden County Teacher of the Year by Governor Phil Murphy and the New Jersey Department of Education.

Sonia Chugh is an English as a Second Language teacher at LEAP Academy High School in Camden City. She has been a teacher for more than 20 years.

New Jersey County Teachers of the Year represent the teaching profession throughout the year. They work as liaisons between their colleagues and the state Department of Education, county Offices of Education, school districts, and the community. They also serve as ambassadors to businesses, parents, and service organizations.
