I know you two were busy with the election so I didn't expect an answer, but with the election over I thought maybe you would have something to offer now.
Are you two willing to show a little backbone and put politics aside and do what is right for the children of the District or will you continue to act as sheep and vote how you are told or just don't show up and vote at all if there is a tough decision to be made. The first step to making amends would be simply listen to residents and employees about their concerns. Second you need to take a hard look at your hires, like Bilodeau, Acerba, Dr. Martin and Mercado. You have an assorted band of unqualified, arrogant, and political hires like I said earlier put politics aside and hire qualified people. You need a Superintendent that understands education and curriculums and has classroom experience to fix our failing schools. You need a Curriculum Supervisor that understands their job and an added bonus would be if they could do it without the Board having to go out and hire an outside firm to complete the job. Political hires like Mercado, poor soul is just lost and we are paying for it. It's a tough pill to swallow when residents and employees see all this and then you say the District needs more money. Sometimes more money isn't the answer, sometimes it's just a matter of hiring the right people and letting them do their job and to hell with political favors, but alas for that to happen we would need Board members independent of politics and willing to make hard choices, willing to lead instead of being just sheep. So Mrs. Gilch and Mrs. Reese which is it going to be are you going to lead or will you continue to be sheep?
Remember most of the Board has been there for years so you can't blame another group for the current sad state of affairs our District is in, because this Board has for years has made the decisions that brought us up to this point. So all I ask is take a stand and do the decent thing and stop being sheep and help lead us out of this mess.
