TBAA Hosts Preseason Soccer Tournament In Gloucester Township This Weekend

The tournament runs Friday through Sunday.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — TBAA Soccer will host its 34th annual preseason tournament this weekend. The tournament, which has hosted over 145 teams from all over New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, is designed to provide a safe, fun and competitive opportunity for teams of all levels to prepare for their fall season.

It runs from Aug. 25-27 at the TBAA Soccer Complex at Valley Brook. The complex is located at 100 Golf View Drive in Gloucester Township. The hours for the tournament are Friday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

For the first time, the tournament will have three referees for all full-sided games. Soccer vendors are also on site, and there are plenty of concessions.

“Much time and effort is put into game scheduling and thus it is very rare that anyone has more than a two-game break between games,” Tournament Director Antonio Catanzariti Sr. said in a statement on the organization’s website.

Organizers expect the tournament to draw more than 3,000 participants and fans. Attendees are reminded to only park in approved parking areas. The Gloucester Township Police Department said it will have officers monitoring the area and taking enforcement action as necessary.
