Timber Creek Advances to Semifinals of Football Playoffs

Timber Creek defeated Mainland to advance on Friday night.

Devin Leary delivered the game-winning touchdown pass to Noah Ellison in the third quarter as the Timber Creek Regional High School football team defeated Mainland, 10-3, to advance to the semifinals of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group IV playoffs Friday night, according to nj.com.

The touchdown was a 44-yard pass and broke a 3-3 tie.

Fourth-seeded Timber Creek struck first, with a 27-yard field goal by Tyler Coluccio in the second quarter.

Fifth-seeded Mainland tied the game in the third quarter 27-yard field goal from Mike Juliano.

Timber Creek will visit No. 1 Hammonton, a 30-7 winner over Toms River South, in the semifinals on Friday night, Nov. 20.

The championship game is set for Dec. 4.
